Blankety Blank
Info Post
Off to Dale Airfield this morning with high hopes of a yank wader after all these westerlies................nothing, zilch! A few Mipits and a Pied Wag the only birds seen, not a wader in sight!
The Gann no better but an obliging Wheatear at least got me a photo or two.
Onto the Deer Park. A couple on Chiffchaffs and a pair of Blackcaps in Sash's garden and nice to see 12 Chough together. With the report from Walrus below sounds like they are really flocking up. Also 14 Seal pups on the beaches.
Pretty much the same experience yesterday at Angle with a grand total of two Ringed Plover at Kilpaison and at Angle Harbour rather better with 25 Ringed Plover, 3 Dunlin, 5 Redshank and 7 Little Egrets. Also a huge juv female Peregrine which flew out of a tree (perhaps off to Strumble to harass the Choughs?). On the shingle spit c.40 Black Headed Gulls and 3 Meds - 2 adults and a smart 1st. winter.
