Info Post

A superb day out with Paul G spent mainly on Skomer. Excellent views of the juvenile Rose-coloured Starling at the farm, also here a brief flight view of a Wryneck. Much better views of a second Wryneck out on the coast path at Bull Hole, and also 3+ Whinchat, a male Redstart, and to finish off a Black Redstart at the farm just before we left. Plenty of Chiffs about, lots of Mippits, a lark sp (probably Sky) and 3 Spotted Flycatchers along with a single Whitethroat. Back on the mainland Marloes Mere was quiet, as was the Gann, but Kete delivered with the 2 juvenile Buff-breasted Sandpipers showing quite well to 530pm until a Buzzard put them up (with all the gulls) and they landed in the next field to the north, out of view. Brian S turned up so we were able to shake his hand for finding these birds and sharing them with us through this Blog. A cracking day.
