The highlight of a fairly birdless search around the Dale peninsula today was a Lapland Bunting at the far end of the main runway on Dale airfield. Very few birds on the airfield apart from a few Wheatear.
Other sites visited-
Kete fields - just some Ringed Plovers and 3 Dunlin.
St Annes head - 3 Wheatear (one was a Greenland) and 3 Chiffs. 1 White Wagtail with the Pieds.
Dale village - no birds of note but 2 Migrant Hawker dragonflies.
The Gann - another 3 Wheatear. The only waders were some Redshank on the pools.
Marloes Mere - another 6 Migrant hawkers and a Common Darter. 8 Teal and 3 Chiffs.
