Info via email forwarded by Jon Green :-
We have just returned from a very windy week in Pembrokeshire, which wasn’t entirely a birding trip but we did
see some quality birds. We even met some of the “Strumblers” on Monday.
On Wednesday 21st, in gale force winds we walked around Stackpole Head and saw 2 waders on the cliff tops. We ruled out
Common, Green and Wood Sandpipers but couldn’t figure what we had seen.
On our return home we checked on your web site to see what we had missed and saw a report about Buff-breasted Sandpipers
at Dale. We then got the books out to have a look at this bird and we are convinced they are what we saw.
We have attached some photos that we took at the time and would appreciate your expert opinion.
Best regards, Dave & Jean Killick
