Milos, Greece;-
A thank you & some brief highlights of a Pembs. Ringing Group trip to the above.
A great visit was had to this island, (in West Cyclades).

The ringing highlights were record making!
A Belarus ringed Wood Sandpiper was one of 8 caught!

1 Hungarian ringed Swallow(nestling-2007), was amongst the 801 Swallows trapped.
This being a major contribution to Greece's effort to the Euring Swallow Project.-- Also 226 Sand Martins(1 Croatian) & 6 Red-rumped Swallows.

Only 1 Olivaceous Warbler caught last Spring, this Spring we caught 5 including the ringed bird from last year!

A more complete paper is forthcoming, but some good sightings for the area, 3 Pallid Harriers, 2 m Citrine Wagtails, & 1 ad. f. Little Crake.
The records go on....5 Little Bitterns & 1 Squacco Heron ringed...more sightings 6 Temminck's with 40 Little Stints.

A massive Thank You to Maria Dimaki from The Goulandris Natural History Museum in Athens for arranging everything, including providing the Hotel, & a car, the project being partly funded by The Regional Development Agency of Cyclades.

Once again a great time, with all our thanks to Maria.
