Info Post
Interesting looking Dunlin - very scabby worn winter plumage! I'm sure everyone is, but scan the small wader flocks very carefully as we must be in line for one good wader - Gwent Levels had a Broad-billed Sandpiper day before yesterday with 50 Dunlin, as well as a Temminck's Stint and a Black-winged Stilt. Can we not get our heads together (Bird Group, birders, Wildlife Trust, RSPB, CCW and County Council) to create a wetland of equal status??? Been discussed in passing before I know, but surely Newgale or Kilpaison are ripe, with just a bit of cash and some elbow grease.....
