It was one of those days today when it was dead in the morning but birds started turning up in the afternoon & then there wasn't time to get everywhere & check again.
Bird of the day was this Wryneck which popped up in front of me at The Farm when I was looking for what would otherwise have been bird of the day - a Lesser Whitethroat.
There were quite a few other new migrants around as well - 15 Willow Warblers, 3 Chiffchaffs, 2 Grey Wagtails, 4 Tree Pipits, 7 Sedge Warblers, 5 Whitethroats, 2 Blackcaps, 2 Goldcrests, 2 Ringed Plovers, 1 Snipe, 22 Wheatears, 2 Whinchats, at least 6 White Wagtails - a flock of about 20 alba Wagtails flew over but I didn't get a good look at them, and a late Swift
