Skokholm - Wryneck

Very short views of a Wryneck around 10.30 this morning. Flew from the front of the Cottage toward East Bog, perching briefly on the knoll before disappearing.

Otherwise pretty quiet; three Goldcrests, half a dozen Chiffchaffs, two Dunnock and about 20 Robins.

Also yesterday two Whinchat, our first for the year, and a Short-eared Owl.

This is pretty much the end of Skokholm records for the year as I'm moving back to Skomer, but will try to get back out here to check for birds whenever possible. So I'll take this chance to say a big thank you to everyone who's contributed to our records, especially the work parties in the last two weeks - the year list currently stands at 121, a superb effort.
