St Govan's Head - Brimstone
Info Post
Like Richard C, we had the kestrel this afternoon at St Govan's, but missed the merlin. There were several wheatear, a dozen or so linnet in 1st winter garb and 6 stonechat. The non-birding highlight was a spectacular male brimstone butterfly. There is still plenty of scabious out at the Head, and this is apparently one of the food plants for this species.
