Kete and St Ann's
Info Post
Morning walk in the fog. A few Swallows at Mullock Bridge and later at St Anns Head. Pair of kestrels perched on fence posts near lighthouse, tails fanned and looking very bedraggled, later seen on telegraph wires near Mill Bay, but jackdaws moved them on. A female blackcap in walled garden. The regularly seen female sparrowhawk was coasting along the valley at Mill Bay. Plenty of fly life from small midges to a few butterflies including Peacock, Red Admiral and a Painted Lady. 9 Stonechats snatching insects from their perches - pipits and wheatear 'working' the coast path. 4 Pied Wagtails in field by lighthouse with flock of 20 meadow pipits. Skylarks calling over and in a number of fields.
