It's interesting, reading blogs from yesterdays visits to St Govan's, how things can change overnight as first thing this morning the head was alive with birds. Lots of Linnets & Chaffinches present (with more Chaffinches passing over & not stopping) and at least 20 Blue Tits. The Kestrel still there & Siskins heard over. Only 1 Wheatear seen. Numerous Blackbirds evident on berry bushes in the wider area. In the little valley at least 6 Blackbirds & 3 Song Thrushes on the berries, while the star of the Thrush brigade was a single Ring Ouzel. Also in the valley 2 Short Eared Owls flushed from the bracken, 3 Blackcaps, 1 Chiffchaff, a Whitethroat & a little group of Goldfinches. Later in Haverfordwest 2 Fieldfares passed low over heading south.
Yesterday at Llandilo a Willow Warbler was singing at first light.
