Crossbills very active and vocal. Groups of 8, 6, 2 and single birds (possibly some duplication). The group of 8 were spooked by GS woodpecker moving in on their tree. Goldcrests everywhere. 5 buzzards and a kite making the most of the fine weather. Male Sparrowhawk upsetting 2 Jays. Three groups of 6-10 Redwing heading eastwards, plenty of berries on the hawthorn just 3 Mistle Thrush in them. 2 Snipe. 9 Lapwing lifted from field opposite gate and headed west. Other birds Siskin, Blue, Coal and Great Tit, Nuthatch, Meadow Pipit and 2 Raven. Fox across path.
