Had a pretty amazing day today - heard my first Redwings of the autumn last night & there were plenty of thrushes around first thing in the morning, most quickly headed off to the mainland - about 45 Blackbirds, 30 Fieldfares, about 60 Redwings, 15 Song Thrushes, 1 Mistle Thrush and at least 15 Ring Ouzels.
A Richard's Pipit flew south low over the farm at 10:20, I heard it calling again in the fields south of the farm 15 minutes later but couldn't find it again.
There was a Wryneck at the farm again - I'd guess it was probably a new one, flushed a Jack Snipe from Green Pond, 16 Golden Plovers flew over, a Snow Bunting flew over in a flock of Chaffinches and there was a Black Redstart in North Haven
