Info Post

At Kilpaison early afternoon the windy and gloomy conditions made counting the waders something of a challenge and photography even more so. Nevertheless it was worth the effort with 100+ Ringed Plovers, 4 Knot, 17 Sanderling, 15 Turnstone, 25 Dunlin, 2 juv Curlew Sandpipers and 1 (possibly 2) juv Little Stint. Also 3 Wigeon.
At Bosherston earlier it had been quiet apart from a couple of hundred Martins - mainly Sand- feeding over the ponds.
At Freshwater West up the road a little towards Castlemartin there had been a juv Cuckoo flying and briefly perched on the roadside fence. No sign at Fresh West or Kilpaison of Storm Driven Manxies so hopefully the worst is over.
