Captain Bob Wheel about to release a Manx Shearwater from the bridge wing of the "Stena Europe"
Bob Haycock and Steve Sutcliffe and other local experts will be working with John Hayes to ring about twenty storm blown manxies handed in to them from all over the south of the county. They will then box them up and we will take them on the Stena Europe on Friday for release amongst the manxie flocks sheltering off the Tusker Rock. John is hoping the RSPCA, having sorted out the birds they took to Taunton will return them here so we can take them as well in the next few days. Thanks to Stena Line and all interested parties for their willingness to work together for the shearwaters benefit, a great piece of teamwork!
