Info Post

A surprise at the Gann this evening in the form of a Barnacle Goose, resting at the mouth of the river initially below the wooden footbridge and then, after a Peregrine put everything up, just upstream. Whilst watching the goose a Whooper Swan flew low over my head and proceeded on northwards upriver towards Mullock until lost to view. Also a female Red-breasted Merganser on the river, and other birds include a Bar-tailed Godwit, a Ringed Plover, a Little Egret, 7 Redshank & 4 Little Grebes. No waders in the field at Kete, and the airfield very quiet with 2 Snipe & a single Skylark. Lovely sunset over Skokholm was ample compensation for the lack of birds here.
