Info Post
The Red-throated Diver was present by the slipway and there were very large numbers of Black-headed Gulls both inside the harbour, out from the flagpoles and between the inner breakwater and Lower Town harbour entrance. About half-way up the inner breakwater we had a fleeting glimpse of a small, interesting-looking, bird which frustratingly disappeared before we were able to get the binoculars on it. We were initially unable to relocate it, but as we returned we saw the bird on the rocks on the harbour side of the breakwater at a distance of 20 feet. It gave excellent views for about a minute before flying across the harbour towards the ferry berths: a Twite! It is interesting to see, from Graham and Jack's "Birds of Pembrokeshire", that Twite have been seen around Goodwick Moor in the past.
