Info Post

Thought I'd go and have a good look through the impressive numbers of diving duck in the south of the county. Difficult to count at Pembroke Mill Pond, I got up to 95 Tufties & 25 Pochard as minimum numbers, but I did pick out two Scaup, including this female (the other was a 1stW male). Lyndon was also there and may have got better pics!

On to Bosherston and a walk from Stackpole Court to the 8-arch bridge. Within a few minutes picked out a female Ring-necked Duck amongst the wildfowl, which gave excellent close views although the light made photography difficult. Two pics here, again Lyndon may have done better (best views from the lake side path between the Court and the Boat House). Around 30 Tufties, 1 Pochard, and 15 Goosander also present. Lyndon had brief views of a Bittern in the reedbed, looking down from the court. Also the white spotted Coot present!
