Pete Howe,Kevin Shales and I decided to see how many species we could see today.
We began at Carew Mill and picked up 40 species in under an hour,Kingfisher and Black tail godwit being the pick of the offerings.
Purple sand at Tenby lifeboat station,Brent geese at theGann inc. the dark bellied as well as Grey plover and Knot helped to keep the count going.
Whoopers and Bewicks at Kete plus a Merlin,Chough at Marloes Mere and both Red and Black throated divers from Little Haven .
Finally we saw 4 Hen Harriers ,3 male , at Plumstone to end the day.
Our tally for the day? 83 species.
